In the mountains of Montenegro, a mother and her daughter live at a traditional alpine pasture amid a breathtaking landscape. When NATO threatens to transform the area into a military training ground, the woman not only refuses to abandon her land, but becomes the most articulate voice of the resistance.
Gara and her daughter, Nada, lead a simple life, deeply connected to the rhythm of the mountain and their work at the sheepfold. However, NATO's plan to militarize the region poses a direct threat to their existence. Becoming a firm voice for the community, Gara ends up publicly confronting NATO representatives. The film closely follows the two women as they attempt to protect their homestead and way of life in the face of a major shift in their world.
