Terms and conditions
Rules for accounts, orders, payment, tickets, admission and refunds.
These terms explain, in one place and in plain language, how to use the Astra Film platform and how to buy or book tickets. They apply to the website, your Astra Film account, personal schedule, ticket orders, Astra Film Junior bookings and participation forms.
The organiser of the programmes and events is Astra Film Foundation, based at 11 Piața Mică, Sibiu, Romania. Eventbook SRL is the technical ticketing partner providing the ticket catalogue, seat reservation, payment, invoicing and ticket issue. Eventbook's terms also apply to those operations. Mandatory statutory rights remain unaffected.
One purchase flow
Your purchase starts and is managed on the Astra Film website. This is where you choose a screening and tickets, enter your details, request an invoice and track the order. For payment, you may be sent temporarily to the secure page of the payment processor used by Eventbook and then returned to your Astra Film account. You do not need to recreate or update the same order on another website.
Before you confirm
Check the event title, date, time, venue, age rating, ticket type and quantity, total price and contact details. The information supplied must be accurate and complete, especially your email address and phone number, as we use them for tickets, confirmations and any programme changes.
When a place is held and when an order is confirmed
- Selecting tickets does not by itself confirm an order.
- Once the Eventbook transaction is created, places are held temporarily until the deadline shown at checkout.
- An Astra Film Junior booking paid by payment link has a deadline of five hours from transaction creation. If payment is not completed in that period, the transaction expires, places are released and the booking must be started again, subject to availability.
- A paid order is confirmed after payment confirmation and ticket issue. A fully free order is confirmed after the final confirmation step in the platform.
- A failed, abandoned or pending payment is not a confirmed order. Check its status in your account before starting a new order.
Price, payment and invoice
The total price and any applicable charges are shown before the order is confirmed. Payment is processed through the secure infrastructure used by Eventbook; Astra Film does not receive complete card details.
If you need an invoice, select the option at checkout and provide accurate invoicing details before payment. Later issue or correction depends on the information supplied and applicable tax rules.
Tickets
Tickets are issued by Eventbook and become available after order confirmation, by email and/or in your Astra Film account. Check your Spam folder as well. If payment was confirmed but the tickets do not appear, do not buy again before we check the transaction.
Keep the QR code or barcode private. The first valid copy scanned is accepted at admission; sharing a copy can make your ticket unusable. Unauthorised resale or resale above the price printed on the ticket is not allowed.
Astra Film Junior group bookings
- The person placing the booking confirms that school, class and responsible-person details are accurate and that they are authorised to provide them.
- Each class is entered separately, with no more than 30 pupils. For a larger group, add every class to the same booking, subject to availability and the total limit shown.
- The number of full-price pupils, pupils receiving social-case free admission and teachers/accompanying adults must match the group attending the screening.
- A booking may produce three admission documents: one for full-price pupils, one for pupils receiving social-case free admission and one for teachers/accompanying adults. All belong to the same booking and must be presented at admission.
- Editing a class record later does not change tickets already issued. Contact the Astra Film Junior team about a change affecting a confirmed order.
Admission
A ticket is valid only for the event, date, time, venue and category shown on it. Follow the age rating, rules for minors, staff instructions and venue rules. Admission after the event has started may be restricted to avoid disturbing the audience. Non-attendance or late arrival does not automatically create a right to a refund or to use the ticket for another screening.
The organiser may refuse admission or remove a person who endangers the audience, breaks the law or seriously disrupts the event, to the extent permitted by law. If the action results from the participant’s behaviour, the ticket is not refunded. Participants are responsible for their personal belongings and should notify venue staff or the organiser about loss or damage.
Programme changes, cancellation and rescheduling
The programme, guests or order of activities may change for organisational reasons. Extreme weather, authority orders, security incidents, major utility outages or other unforeseeable circumstances may cause an event to continue, stop, be rescheduled or be cancelled. A programme change does not automatically mean the event is cancelled and does not automatically create a refund entitlement.
If an event is cancelled or rescheduled, we publish the information and send available instructions to affected buyers. Under Eventbook's terms, a refund request for a cancelled or rescheduled event must be sent to Eventbook within 28 days of the notice, unless the law or the notice provides a more favourable condition. Eventbook processes refunds using ticket-sale funds it still holds or funds made available by the organiser; for amounts already transferred, the organiser bears the financial responsibility, subject to the law. Refunds normally cover only the price printed on the ticket; processing charges, travel, accommodation and other personal expenses are not covered to the extent permitted by law.
Changing your mind
Tickets for leisure activities scheduled for a specific date or period do not generally carry the standard 14-day withdrawal right that applies to other online purchases. Tickets are not refunded for a change of mind, non-attendance or late arrival, except where required by law or expressly stated for the event.
Your account and data
You may sign in with email and password or with Google. Protect your account access and notify us if you notice unauthorised use. Google sign-in does not give Astra Film access to your Google password and does not change these terms.
Order data needed by Eventbook and its payment providers is transferred only for booking, payment, invoicing, ticket issue and ticket management. Full details are in the Privacy Policy.
Photography and recording at events
Photographs or audio-video recordings may be made at some events to document and communicate the festival. The notice applicable to the event and data subject rights are described in the Privacy Policy or in notices displayed at the venue. Recording screened films or other protected material is not allowed.
Using the website and its content
Do not use the platform for false information, unauthorised access, abusive automation, unauthorised resale or conduct that disrupts the service. Text, images, trademarks, films and audiovisual material may not be reproduced or commercially exploited without the rights holder's permission.
Platform availability
We take reasonable steps to keep the platform and published information available and accurate. Interruptions may occur because of maintenance, network errors or unavailable third-party services. When a problem affects an order, we use the transaction data and ticketing partner confirmations to investigate it. Nothing here limits statutory consumer rights.
Who to contact
- For the programme, admission, event rules or Astra Film Junior bookings: email the Astra Film team at info@astrafilm.ro.
- For payment, ticket issue, invoices or the technical status of a transaction: use Eventbook support.
Include the order number, email address used, event and a clear description of the problem. Never send a complete card number, CVV code or password by email.
Applicable law and complaints
These terms are governed by Romanian law. We try to resolve complaints directly. Consumers may also use the mechanisms of Romania's National Authority for Consumer Protection, available at anpc.ro. If one provision becomes unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect.
Updates to these terms
We may update these terms when the platform, partners or legal requirements change. The current version and update date are published on this page. An order is governed by the terms accepted when it was confirmed, together with any more favourable rights later provided by law.
