Șerban Georgescu / Romania / 2025 / 80 min
A new look at Romanian farmers, caught between abundant harvests, unpredictable prices and the insecurity of everyday life. In Lungulețu, the author returns after 10 years to his former protagonists and discovers that what once seemed like an isolated problem has proved to be a persistent reality.
Reuniting with the farmers of Lungulețu, Șerban Georgescu revisits stories that began a decade ago. Harvests remain abundant, but economic uncertainty persists, and the prospect of an agricultural system that better supports producers still seems distant. With humor and self-irony, the film explores the relationship between producers and consumers, reopening the question of whether working the land can still provide a decent living in Romania today.
