Film Details

Ștefania is 30, Romanian, and lives in France. As an artist, she uses dance to explore traumas caused by a misdiagnosis in childhood and years of medical isolation. Dance becomes her new language – a form of therapy that reconnects her with her body, repressed memories, and her mother. Still Nia is a poetic and experimental portrait composed of intimate footage and personal confessions, structured around three key moments: childhood in hospital, freedom on the beach, and the creative process during rehearsals. The film illustrates art as a powerful means of healing, rediscovery, and personal liberation.
