How many companions a group gets

Free companion tickets are generated automatically at booking, in proportion to the size of the group and following the supervision rule of one adult per ten minors.

  • from 5 pupils — 1 companion
  • from 11 pupils — 2 companions
  • from 21 pupils — 3 companions

How to book for a group

Group bookings are made online only, by the coordinating teacher.

  1. Open the Astra Film Junior tickets page.
  2. Choose the screening or activity, filtering by your pupils' age group: primary (6+), secondary (11+) or upper secondary (15+).
  3. Select how many pupil tickets you need and, if applicable, how many free tickets for pupils with a social case or a disability. Companion tickets are added for you.
  4. Fill in the details asked for: the teacher's name, e-mail address, telephone number, school, town and class.
  5. Confirm the order. For paid tickets, follow the online payment instructions; for free ones, confirming the booking is enough.
  6. The tickets arrive by e-mail. Show them at the door, printed or on your phone.

If several classes from the same school are coming, put them in a single order. It makes organising the groups at the door considerably easier.

Ticket validity

  • Each ticket is valid only for the screening, date and time it was issued for. Tickets cannot be moved to another screening without a new booking.
  • Entry is subject to available seats. Please arrive with your group at least 15 minutes before the start time.
  • Free tickets — companion or social case — are valid only if they were issued in the same order as the pupils' tickets they accompany.
  • Companions beyond the number generated automatically need individual tickets, at 15 lei.
  • Tickets not used on the day lapse and cannot be refunded or rescheduled.
  • Changes or cancellations must be requested before the deadline shown on the ticketing platform, by contacting the organiser.

Conditions of participation

For schools and teachers

  • Groups of pupils take part through a coordinating teacher, who takes responsibility for the booking and for supervising the group throughout.
  • Taking pupils out during school hours requires the agreement of the school's management, under the protocol with the County School Inspectorate.
  • The coordinating teacher is responsible for safety rules and for the pupils' conduct during the screenings.

For pupils

  • Pupils attend on tickets booked in advance, as part of the group coordinated by their teacher.
  • Films and activities are selected by age group — 6+, 11+ and 15+. Please observe the recommendation shown for each screening.
  • Pupils enter the auditorium only with their coordinating teacher or a designated adult.

General conditions

  • Entry is on a valid ticket, printed or electronic.
  • The organiser may refuse entry to anyone without a valid ticket or not observing the rules of the venue.
  • Photography and filming during screenings are permitted only with the organiser's agreement, for promoting the event.

Certificates of participation

Teachers who have coordinated groups of pupils may request a certificate of participation, valid as evidence of an extracurricular educational activity under the protocol with the County School Inspectorate. The request is made on the site and covers:

  • the teacher's name;
  • the school and the town;
  • the class or classes coordinated;
  • the films and activities the group attended.

Where several teachers from the same school took part, we recommend gathering the details into one table and sending a single request, to teodora.m@astrafilm.ro.
