A young Romanian artist living in France embarks on a journey to reconnect with herself through movement and artistic expression. Can dance heal childhood wounds?
Ștefania is 30, Romanian, and lives in France. As an artist, she uses dance to explore traumas caused by a misdiagnosis in childhood and years of medical isolation. Dance becomes her new language – a form of therapy that reconnects her with her body, repressed memories, and her mother. Still Nia is a poetic and experimental portrait composed of intimate footage and personal confessions, structured around three key moments: childhood in hospital, freedom on the beach, and the creative process during rehearsals. The film illustrates art as a powerful means of healing, rediscovery, and personal liberation.
