A young American from Utah is part of the Mormon religious community and, at the same time, discovers that he is gay. He must choose whether to remain in the religious community he belongs to by denying his sexual orientation, or to dedicate himself to the life he truly desires.
Riley grew up in a Mormon family with strict rules and religious constraints, and he only realized after getting married that he was actually gay. He decides to get a divorce and marry the man he loves. He has a daughter with his ex-wife, with whom he maintains a friendly relationship, and an adopted son. Those around him judge him, but try to come to terms with reality. The film gradually reveals all aspects of Riley’s life, managing to capture the dynamics of a complex family and delve into the heart of a conservative community.
