Maria, a 14-year-old teenager, navigates the challenges specific to her age, responsibilities, and her desire for freedom, as she shares her thoughts with her father.
The filmmaker explores, in an almost therapeutic way, his relationship with his children—especially his eldest daughter, Maria—as well as the relationships between siblings. He uses family archive footage along with short domestic interviews, in which, at times, the roles are reversed. The father tries to step back from his parental role and instead capture the dynamics of his family and the transformations his children undergo as they grow into adulthood.
