Confessions of a Mole

After seven years in Poland, director Mo Tan returns to China for the New Year. A family gathering quickly turns into an emotional battle: her parents, believing in a prophecy, demand the removal of a mole from her face. As Mo grapples with a breast cancer diagnosis and the breakdown of her relationship, she must confront her own mortality and generational trauma. Documentary intimacy blends with tragic humor in a search for understanding the past and the possibility of rebuilding love.
