Three men and a couple, people of different ages, are each given a home by the state as part of a social reintegration program. The director follows them for three years to see how a home and a sense of stability will change their destinies. The cine-verite moments are largely filmed in the new homes that the residents gradually personalize, bringing in plants, fish aquariums, pets, some of them more bizarre, like insects, as they try (or not) to find their way (or not). With total access to the characters, the movie presents five portraits full of depth and humanity.
