Astra Film Junior 2009. Good Morning, World!
„All grown-ups were once children - although few of them remember it.” These words preface the fantastic voyage of Saint-Exupéry’s Little Prince, who leaves his house-sized planet to see what the rest of the universe is like. While recollecting our own childhood years, we did not forget those who are children now. Astra Film Festival 2009 offers a national premiere: Good Morning, World!, a program of documentaries for children.
Same as the Little Prince, the kids will visit other „planets”, and find out about the lives of kids their age in the USA, Senegal, Mexico, Finland, Japan, Morocco, Cambodgia, and India. Elementary school kids will see a selection of films, and then make drawings about what they have seen. It will be a singular experience for the festival’s youngest audience. As for the grown-ups, they will, perhaps, remember the time when they could see an elephant inside a boa constrictor behind the shape of a plain hat.
